This installation was a result of a sculpture class based around casting techniques (and therefore mould making). It consists of a recreation of my desk in which a number of items have been replaced by two part plaster moulds, concealing the now missing objects. Said objects were intended to remain anonymous, but as a result of an overly curious class the moulds were opened so as to reveal their negative doubles. It became almost a kind of memory game.
The following drawings were made during the couple of weeks between the conception and completion of the project. I guess they're my way of experimenting with the importance (or lack thereof) of different objects and their placement, both in my studio and in general.
