I have just come to the sudden realisation that The Fugitive (1993, Dir. Andrew Davis) has quite a strong influence on my work, this is particularly noticeable in my cleaning co. project. I have always liked this film, having seen it (rather inappropriately) as a child and watched it many times since. Now I can say it subconsciously inspired my work.
Below are screenshots from a scene in which Richard Kimble (Harrison Ford) steals a hospital janitors ID tag, buys a matching uniform, replaces the photo on the ID with his own, then infiltrates the prosthetics lab of the same hospital to gather information on "the one armed man" who apparently killed his wife.
Side note: Australian artist Ivan Durrant, infamous for his (often gruesome) hyper-realist sculptures, worked for a time in a prosthetics lab making false limbs - much like those seen below.
p.s. I didn't kill my wife.
